Every year, members of the LGBTQ+ community can celebrate at Out in the Park (formerly Gay Day at Six Flags Over Texas), a special-ticketed event. During the event visitors can enjoy a medley of live performances and a special catered lunch.

In Dallas and Fort Worth

If you find yourself in Dallas or Fort Worth, we’ve got a few recommendations there too. Just down the stretch of I-30 East in Dallas, you’ll find the Oak Lawn neighborhood, voted the 2014 Best Gayborhood in the Country. Here you’ll find honky-tonk at The Roundup Saloon, plenty of space on the dance floor at Station 4 (S4) nightclub, and the big game on TV at the Cedar Springs Tap House where you can also catch a bite to eat and swig to drink.

You’ll also want to visit Hidden Door Bar, the longest-serving meeting place for the Dallas LGBTQ+ community. For more than 40 years, this bar has been opening their doors and slinging drinks. If you’re a beer drinker, you won’t want to miss the Sunday afternoon Beer Bust.

Head west toward the south side of Fort Worth where you will find several LGBTQ+ nightlife options, such as Club Reflection, a spacious bar offering cocktails & beer, plus a pool table, karaoke & dancing. If live music is more your style, stop by Club Changes.
