Arlington Entertainment District
Two Six Flags theme parks. Two pro sports teams. And countless restaurants, shopping centers, museums, and live entertainment venues ... we don’t mean to brag (maybe we do), but Arlington’s Entertainment District is loaded with some of the most incredible experiences in all of North Texas.
While you’re around, be sure to plan a visit to this vibrant center of Arlington where you can find much of the best of what Arlington has to offer.
Family Fun
Both Six Flags amusement parks are ready for all your family vacation needs. Six Flags Over Texas, the classic Texas theme park offers dozens of scream-worthy coasters and plenty of funnel cake, while Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, the Texas-sized water park, brings a refreshing splash to a hot Texas day.
Prepare to hang on tight as you drop hundreds of feet on the Titan roller coaster or barrel down the 40-foot wave slide known as the Tsunami Surge at the water park. Just make sure you refuel afterward with a tasty Texas snack, like a loaded pretzel or a fresh churro.
Sports
There’s no way around it, Arlington is a sports hub, and we love our teams. No trip to Arlington is complete without paying a visit to one of the city’s professional sports stadiums. Home to both the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers, Arlington boasts both the fan-favorite AT&T Stadium and the brand-new Globe Life Field. Sign up for a behind-the-scenes tour of either—don’t miss the tour of the Dallas Cowboys’ impressive art collection!—or score tickets to the next game or event.
Restaurants & Activities
Who doesn’t love choices when it comes to finding a good spot to eat or enjoy a drink with friends? The Entertainment District has enough restaurants and bars to please everyone in your crew. In fact, even if you were just to visit Texas Live!, a sprawling entertainment center with a variety of restaurants, cocktail bars, and more, you’d have more options than you could imagine. Texas Live! is the place for dining and entertainment in Arlington, TX, so get ready for a night out on the town.
Be sure to take in a show at Arlington Backyard, Arlington’s premier outdoor concert and festival destination with spectacular views of AT&T Stadium. Before the show, grab some mouth-watering Tex-Mex at Guy Fieri’s Taco Joint.
You can also make it a night to remember at PBR Texas, the largest Professional Bull Riders Cowboy Bar in the country. Spend a couple of hours at this authentic country bar and you’ll be riding one of its mechanical bulls in no time. Gather up some liquid courage and take a ride!
Die-hard sports fans won’t want to miss the chance to eat at Troy’s—owned by Cowboys Hall of Famer Troy Aikman—with live music, gourmet food, and signature cocktails; or Pudge’s Pizza, the gourmet pizza joint owned by Hall of Famer Iván “Pudge” Rodriguez.
In the end, walk it all off with a stroll through the stunning Entertainment District Art Trail in Richard Greene Linear Park, a winding trail full of beautiful public art and sculptures. This relaxing walk is the perfect way to unwind from your day of good eats and fun in Arlington. Plus, you’ll have the chance to plan all the sights you want to see on your next visit.
